I’m honoured to announce that I’ve recently been named as a finalist for the Woman of the Year – Vulnerable Client Care award.

The Women In Financial Advice Awards were created to help celebrate the achievements of women working within the financial advice community, as well as the financial services sectors that work to provide solutions for their clients. The awards are open to those working within both the financial advice community and among the financial services sector. To be included in the finalists for Vulnerable Client Care is a privilege, especially to be alongside so many brilliant women. This category is open to women whose work and achievements within Vulnerable Client Care have helped enhance this area of financial advice. In my job I take huge pride in helping clients who find themselves in vulnerable circumstances, whatever the reason may be. This is why I regularly work on my personal development, including my:

  • Financial abuse specialism
  • Relational financial planning coaching
  • Volunteering with domestic abuse survivors
  • Trauma training.

Thanks to these extra skills and qualifications I have been able to help people who have felt stuck in a difficult situation. There is no better feeling for me than helping clients discover their financial freedom or security, and seeing them move forward with a brand new lease on life. The award ceremony will be taking place on 7 October at The Brewery in London, and we can’t wait to attend. While I’d love to win the award, of course, simply being nominated for such a prestigious award is a fantastic achievement and I’m extremely proud to have been included. This nomination could not have been earned alone; I’d like to thank my husband Gary for his unwavering support and encouragement. I’d also like to take a moment to thank the entire team at Verve Financial – I couldn’t ask for a better team of colleagues. Finally, I’d like to thank all of my clients. It’s a blessing to be able to do the job I love day in, day out. I consider all of you friends, just as much as clients, and I look forward to a long future working together.
