Financial planning services are often categorised based on age groups. This generic framework informs financial advisers on which financial planning services are likely to be most beneficial to clients of specific ages. Yet, all financial planning services must be provided with the individual client's needs in mind, including an understanding of their life experiences and future financial goals, which may differ from other people their age.
The framework includes the End of Life and Estate Planning Stage, which is hopefully a stage late in retirement but can be brought forward when a younger person has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Our team understand that this can be a difficult time for the client, but strive to provide the most reassuring and empathetic end-of-life financial planning service.
We offer a complimentary introduction meeting to understand your existing plans and your financial objectives so that we can offer you the right advice and service that meets your objectives and your preferences.
This stage of life is within a wider stage known as the wealth decline stage, whereby all wealth accumulated has been enjoyed to fund a retirement lifestyle or is now being prepared to be gifted away. This stage may include specific financial planning advice services, including but not limited to:
Not everyone within the end-of-life stage will be experiencing serious medical issues. Some people enter this stage based on their age alone. However, if the client has entered this stage due to medical problems, they may need more specific financial planning services to help them factor in medical expenses as part of their finances. This will be provided based solely on the person’s individual needs and preferences.
